Co-native acquires Retune

Through the strategic acquisition of Retune, Co-native strengthens its position as the foremost Microsoft partner for cloud solutions in Sweden. Retune will expand Co-native's capabilities and services in cloud solutions, cybersecurity, and modern IT workplaces, complement its customer base, and strengthen its presence in the Stockholm area.

To maximize collaboration opportunities between the group companies and meet increased customer demands, Retune will be integrated into Co-native's subsidiary Asurgent, a leading player in Microsoft Azure, cybersecurity, and Microsoft 365 in Sweden. The merged operation will operate under the Asurgent name and will create both operational and commercial benefits for the entire group, including our employees, customers, and partners.

Retune's main owner Sobro, together with key figures in Retune, will become co-owners of Co-native and actively contribute to Co-native's continued success.

Co-native has grown rapidly since its inception in 2022, and we are proud that the group today consists of some of Sweden's most prominent cloud specialist companies, including Asurgent, Buzzcloud, Elastic Move, and Xenit. The acquisition of Retune and the management changes we are now making are an important part of our continued growth journey. With an estimated turnover of nearly SEK 600 million in 2024 and 300 employees in Sweden, Co-native is ready to meet both national and international challenges and opportunities.

Changes for growth and customer focus

To create a cohesive leadership that can drive Co-native forward during a period of rapid growth and increased collaboration between the companies in the group, previously planned organizational changes will be implemented as Co-native and Asurgent integrate Retune. These changes aim to strengthen our focus on delivering increased customer value and meeting the market's growing demands, as well as improve our operational efficiency.
Stephan Andersson, founder and CEO of Asurgent, will take over as group CEO of the Co-native group from December 1, 2024. With his extensive experience in leading roles within the industry and his deep understanding of market needs, Stephan has demonstrated the ability to drive growth and build high-performing teams. His leadership and customer focus have been crucial to Asurgent's success, and he is now well-positioned to take Co-native to the next level and bring the group's collective offerings to market.

Linus Lindström, founder and current group CEO of Co-native, will step down from his operational role to instead engage as a board member. Linus has been a central driving force behind Co-native's rapid growth and acquisition success, and with his vision and entrepreneurial focus, he will continue to play an important role in Co-native's development. In his board position, he will continue to focus on acquisitions and business development, contributing to the group's long-term goals.

Staffan Bjurström, currently Sales Manager and Deputy CEO of Asurgent, will now take over as CEO of the expanded operations under the Asurgent brand. His experience in building long-term customer relationships and driving sales growth has been crucial to Asurgent's success and makes him a strong leader for the combined unit.

Farzad Aghazadeh, CEO of Retune, will assume the role of Deputy CEO of Asurgent. Farzad's experience with Microsoft solutions and his deep understanding of customer needs will play an important role in Asurgent's continued expansion. His expertise and customer focus will be essential as the expanded organization strives to deliver even greater value to its customers.
